New parish Clerk Wanted

CLERK  TO  PARISH  COUNCIL

Stoke Fleming Parish Council seeks a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. This post is part-time involving 35 hours each month on average, working from home and attending meetings.

The person appointed will be accountable to the Council for the effective management of all its resources and will report to Councillors as and when required. The Clerk is also the Responsible Financial Officer, responsible for all financial records of the Council and the careful administration of its finances.

Local government experience is not essential. Training will be available but the successful candidate will be an organised, independent and adaptable person with good communication and IT skills who is able to work on their own initiative to provide efficient administration of council business.

Salary will be in accordance with national recommended rates starting at SCP 6 in Scale LC1, £10.24 per hour from 1st April 2021.
